Beginner Driver Education Program

Fall 2017 Beginner Driver Education

SummerDriverEdBannerSml

The Beginner Driver Education Program is run in conjunction with D.T.S.M. Driving School, a Ministry of Transportation Approved BDE Course Provider. The program combines in-class, at-home and in-car instruction in preparation for the Ontario G2 Driver’s Test. Successful completion of this program allows a reduction of the G1 license driving period and a possible insurance discount (check with your insurance company).

Please Note: Any information collected during registration will be released to DTSM Driving School, solely for the administration of the BDE Program.

The Driver Education Program is offered 3 times during the year. Prices, dates & program details are subject to change from term-to-term. Check our website at the beginning of each registration period for up-to-date details for the pertinent session.

Fall Program
Typically starts the 2nd last week in October. Registration begins mid-September. High school guidance offices receive the flyers at that time and the information will be posted on this page.

Winter Program
Typically starts the first week in March. Registration begins mid-January. High school guidance offices receive the flyers at that time & the information will be posted on this page.

Summer Program
The summer program operates quite differently than the school year program. In-class sessions typically run the first week in July, full day and then in-car sessions run throughout July and August. Registration starts at the beginning of May. High school guidance offices receive the flyers at that time and the information will be posted on this page. Students must be available all of July and August in order to complete the in-car hours in a group-lesson format. In-class locations are only offered at approximately 5 school sites, however in-car pick-up and drop-off may be at the students’ home school provided there is sufficient enrolment.
